Best time to visit

The best time to visit the Grand Island is from October to March. However, you should avoid it during monsoon season. During winter, though, travelers will be treated to clear skies and relaxed days by day and gorgeous sunsets at night. If you’re visiting during monsoon season – between June and September – then make sure you come prepared with an umbrella and a set of waterproof clothes, as things can get messy around these parts. We recommend bringing your rain boots just in case, but note that they will get soaking wet after just a few hours of downpour.

Which hotel should I choose?

If you want to save some cash, staying at a hostel is an excellent option for your trip to Goa. It can save you thousands of rupees and give you a chance to meet other travelers with whom you can share travel stories and tips. You can book your room or dorm online in advance and make sure it’s near the main attractions of Grand Island Goa so that you don’t have trouble finding your way back. Many hotels also offer free wi-fi access and many rooms have balconies where guests are allowed to smoke. All these features come at very affordable prices, giving backpackers like yourself a chance to afford to stay in luxury accommodations while traveling on a budget.

What all activities are there?

The tour has been designed keeping in mind that maximum time should be spent on sightseeing and not commuting from one place to another. The day begins with a delicious breakfast at your hotel and you are then taken for a morning city tour of Panaji which will give you a glimpse of colonial Portugal in Asia. Later, after lunch, we drive to Old Goamansagar Dam (one of India’s largest earthen dams), visit Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib where you can see devotees taking a dip in icy waters before meeting Guru Gobind Singh on top of Mt Sahib where they perform ardas or prayers. This evening is free to explore the Beach Road Area – often called ‘Little Italy’ due to its large population of Italians settled here.
