The global pandemic has temporarily closed schools across the country and almost everything has been virtualized. Students are beginning the transition to the world of online learning and a lot has changed. Change offers new ways to adapt and our daily lives. The big shift from staying in school with teachers for years to virtual education is a huge adjustment for students. virtual volunteering in India has many factors that influence children’s educational experience.
Indian schools are doing all they can to look after students and families during these uncertain times. CIS introduced Virtual Volunteers with the help of several community partners and those interested in supporting those in need. With Virtual Volunteers, you can make an impact anywhere.
At this point, volunteering should be virtual, but that doesn’t mean it’s not as important as it used to be. This is the perfect time to support struggling students. Volunteers can give students the extra motivation they need, especially when life is stuck. As a CIS volunteer, students in the Indian region can get involved in many ways as they struggle to adapt to new ways of learning and new schedules. Add congratulations and encouragement using editable CIS documents created in the Virtual Volunteers tab, or send an email to create a card with the words written on it.
A simple way to volunteer for students is to read a book to our students. If you wish to register, this is the best way to help a student with difficulty. By holding a children’s book in your hand and recording your reading, you can improve your literary skills and engagement. Here are some examples of what they might look like.
Another way to contribute to your students as a volunteer is to motivate them to become “guest speakers”. Sharing career stories about where you work, where you work, what you look like, and how your students achieved the same success is a great way to keep students motivated and excited for the future right now. Unfortunately, the cancellation of schools until further notice results in the explicit cancellation or postponement of graduation ceremonies. Many graduates are upset that many accomplishments cannot be celebrated because major milestones have been undone. They worked incredibly hard and overcame many obstacles to achieve this, so we wanted to show them how proud we are.
